محکمہ تعلیم پنجاب نے اعلان کیا ہے کہ نویں اور دسویں جماعت کے طلبہ کے لیے اسکول 18 اگست سے دوبارہ کھلیں گے۔ اسی روز او لیول، اے لیول اور انٹرمیڈیٹ کی کلاسز کا آغاز بھی کر دیا جائے گا۔ جبکہ پہلی سے آٹھویں جماعت تک کے طلبہ کے لیے تعلیمی سرگرمیاں یکم ستمبر سے بحال ہوں گی۔ یہ فیصلہ صوبے کے تمام سرکاری اور نجی تعلیمی اداروں پر نافذ ہو گا۔
وزیرِ تعلیم پنجاب رانا سکندر حیات کے مطابق اسکول کھلنے کی تاریخوں میں یہ تبدیلی ماہرینِ تعلیم سے مشاورت کے بعد کی گئی ہے۔یاد رہے کہ محکمہ تعلیم نے جمعرات کے روز موسم گرما کی چھٹیوں میں توسیع کا اعلان کیا تھا۔ پہلے یہ تعطیلات 14 اگست تک مقرر تھیں، تاہم اب صوبے بھر میں تمام اسکول یکم ستمبر کو کھلیں گے۔
The Punjab Education Department has announced that schools will reopen for 9th and 10th-grade students from August 18. On the same day, O-Level, A-Level, and Intermediate classes will also commence. Meanwhile, educational activities for students from 1st to 8th grade will resume from September 1. This decision will apply to all public and private educational institutions across the province.
According to Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, this change in school reopening dates was made after consultations with education experts. It may be recalled that the Education Department had announced an extension in summer vacations on Thursday. Initially, the holidays were scheduled until August 14, but now all schools across the province will reopen on September 1.
